If you choose to take a bus from Malaga Airport you have several options. One that takes you directly to Marbella Bus Station with no stops; the C19 bus that goes into Malaga City with a number of stops on the way; direct buses that take you all the way to Estepona and Algeciras; and bus lines that stop at a large number of hotels along Torremolinos and Benalmadena.
The bus stop is located on the forecourt outside the new Malaga Airport Terminal 3 where you’ll also see a new booth/ticket office there where you can purchase your tickets for the journey.

Malaga Airport to Torremolinos and Benalmadena
The buses from Malaga Airport to Torremolinos and Benalmadena run from Monday to Friday, every hour, and on weekends and Bank holidays, every two hours.
Malaga Airport to Marbella Bus Station
This direct route from Malaga the airport to Marbella goes via the Toll Road. It takes about 45 minutes and costs €6,50 single fare which is cheaper than the toll road charge during the summer months.
In the winter only one bus operates almost every 2 hours so you may have to wait quite a bit. During the summer they run every hour but actually getting on is not always assured as they can get very busy. So you need to make sure you are in the queue. If you don’t mind travelling to Malaga City Bus Station there is a new direct service and also indirect service to Marbella Bus Station from there.
Malaga Airport to Malaga City Centre (Bus C19)
This route goes right into Malaga centre with a few stops in between and run every 25-30 minutes. The first bus leaves the airport around 7:00am on most days and the last bus leaves the airport around midnight. On return, from Malaga bus station back to the airport, they start at around 6:30am with the last one departing at 11:20pm.

Our advice is that if time is really tight do not rely on the bus system to get to the Airport on time. Your best alternative options are either to get a taxi or booking a private transfer.
Malaga Airport to Estepona
The buses from Malaga airport to Estepona run daily at 7, 10 & 11.20am and at 1.15, 5.20 & 9pm. It takes about an hour and 15 minutes. Return buses from Estepona to Malaga Airport also run daily at 5.30, 7.15, 8.15 & 11.45am and 2.30 & 3.30pm.
Malaga Airport to Algeciras
Direct buses from Malaga airport to Algeciras run daily at 11.20am & 5.20pm. Return buses from Algeciras to Malaga Airport also run daily at 6.30am & 1.45pm. It takes approximately 2 hours.
Malaga Airport to Seville and Granada
These two new direct long-distance bus routes from Malaga Airport have just been introduced.
The Seville bus departs from the airport every day of the week at 4:45pm with a duration time of 3 hours 15 minutes arriving in Seville at 8:00pm. On return, the bus from Seville back to Malaga Airport departs at 8:00am and arrives at 11:00am.
The Granada bus departs from the airport twice a day, the first at 11:30am and the second at 6:30pm, with a duration time of 2 hours 30 minutes arriving in Granada at 2:00pm and 9:00pm respectively. On return, the buses from Granada back to Malaga Airport depart at 7:00am and 10:00am arriving at 9:20am and 12:15pm respectively.
