Marbella contacts with intermediaries of entrepreneurs who want to buy and manage luxury hotels in this well-known resort on the Costa del Sol.
During the International Fair of Tourism -Fitur- held these days in Madrid, Marbella Tourist Board closed a deal with UAE and Kuwait for mutual promotional activities. As well have been established contacts with the airline Emirates, which is interested in having direct connections with Malaga airport.
The company Qatar is also interested in the terminal in Malaga. These routes would be essential to improve the arrival of some tourists who appreciate the destination of Marbella and which are of great interest for tourism. Of course, these connections may not be raised for the summer season 2011 as it takes more time to realize projects like these.
Also was held a meeting with a trade delegation of some entrepreneurs who want to establish contacts with hoteliers in Marbella with the aim of buying or taking over the management of luxury hotels in this location.
Another objective of the city council of Marbella in Fitur is to increase the arrival of cruise passengers with stopover at Malaga port. In this regard, in 2009 more than 40,000 passengers of cruise ships visited the town of Marbella during the break in their journey in the port of the capital of the Costa del Sol.
