Malaga Airport will provide from next April 27th a direct connection with Istanbul, which will open the Costa del Sol to the Asian market and the Middle East.
Turkish Airlines, so far with two daily flights in Spain only from Madrid and Barcelona, will operate this route with three frequencies per week, according to the company. Furthermore, there will be also opened another route from Valencia from March 27th with four weekly frequencies.
This airline connects Istanbul with more than 170 destinations worldwide in 80 countries.
From the airport it is assessed that this route will become a gateway to the Costa del Sol for tourists from the Asian market given the strong presence of this company in this area.
They also highlighted the fact that Malaga airport counts for the first time with a direct route to the Middle East, which will permit access to markets whose passengers hitherto had no direct flights to the Costa del Sol.
